High profile, credible and respected as a driving force within the food and farming supply chain and with a proven track record for creating growth, Clarke stepped down as CEO of Anglia Farmers Group (agricultural purchasing co-operative) in June 2017 having taken turnover from £35m to £250m since 2003.


Graduating from Harper Adams University, Clarke’s career was extensive including farm management, graduate at British Sugar establishing Trident Feeds, CEO of Dengie Crops and MD of Spillers Speciality Feeds.

Clarke is an experienced, adaptable business director.  He has extensive expertise in corporate governance, HR, legal, systems, finance, change management, collaboration and co-operative development, within both competitive commercial sectors, third sector and not for profit co-operatives.


He brings significant knowledge of input and food supply chains, rural policy and strategy at regional and national level, including export and inward investment.

Clarke also has wide-ranging experience of creatively growing businesses, digital channels, launching and delivering new brands, e-commerce and business funding.

Clarke combines personal enthusiasm and inspirational drive with a strong community, diversity, environmental and social commitment.
